The best in music 2010 part 2

Here we are again, this time bringing you my top 10 songs of 2010. They are all awesome tracks. My top 5 was the toughest to make finite, simply because I’m so torn between the tracks depending on my mood. So sit back and listen, and enjoy!

Happy Pride!

I’m taking it easy from Pride this year. In fact, while I had initially planned to walk in the parade here in Chicago with my company, the threat of being literally struck by lightening due to severe thunderstorms in the area, and due to the fact that Rick just returned home yesterday, made me want to lay low.
To all of those out there, enjoy Gay Pride, and remember why we have it. Not just to get wasted in the streets and party like it’s Carnival.
Anyway, here’s some new Kylie to get everyone in the mood, and in continuation of my summer music series.

A Decade in Music, part 7: 2008

It was exactly a year ago today that I posted my best of 2008 on this very blog. And to be honest, I really can’t improve upon it much at all. It also gives me the chance to get my 2009 list finalized, as well as prepare the ultimate list, the Best of the Decade overall.
So with that being said, take a quick look at these videos, and then hit the link below to a take a look back at what I though of music in 2008. Enjoy.

A Decade in Music Part 2: 2002 & 2003

Welcome to part two of my continuing trip down memory lane of the music that made a huge impact over the past decade. This time we revisit 2002 and 2003, both excellent years in terms of amazing and innovative musical introductions from the likes of Fischerspooner, Interpol and The Postal Service, when Kylie Minogue made a triumphant return to the international pop scene, and when Madonna made a really bad disc called American Life. Most importantly, it was when everyone wanted to ‘shake it like a Polaroid picture.’ Even though you really aren’t supposed to shake a Polaroid picture. But I digress.

Let’s take a look at the discs and singles that made me so crazy in love with them. And yes, that was a Beyonce reference.

Next Time: 2004, when an American Idol broke away from the pack, we got comfortably numb at the disco, and fell in love with a funeral.
